SKY ARMY BEGINS Book 1 Ch. 12

     Ty and Jason launched the next day. Well, Jason launched. Ty essentially clung to Jason's foot for dear life the whole time. Even if Jason had refused to let Ty come along, he would have found a way to come anyway. 

     The flew just below the clouds, scanning the sea, looking for any clue as to Sky and Ethan's whereabouts. 

     "What's that?" Ty asked. He pointed down to the ocean. Jason looked where he pointed to see a large dark shape on the water. 

     "I don't know." Jason replied.

     "Go in closer!" Ty said. Jason did as he was told and got closer to the shape, but only close enough to see clearly what it was.

     "It's a squid ship!" Ty exclaimed. "That's gotta be where they're holding Sky and Ethan."

     "Do we descend, Sir?" Jason asked before he could stop himself.

     "What?" Ty asked. "What do you mean, 'Sir'?"

     "Oh, uh... Nothing." Ty stared at him, clearly not satisfied.

     "Right, down we go." Jason said, refusing to make Ty's gaze. He started to make his way down to the squid ship.

     "An air ship?" Seth ran his fingers through his hair, still leaning on the rail. "Could be interesting. Definitely never been done before..."

     "Will you do it?" Sky asked.

     Seth laughed. "Are you-" he stopped abruptly as there was a loud crash that came from the main deck, followed by shouts of alarm from the crew.

     Sky ran to the rail looking over the rest of the ship to see Ty and Jason standing back to back on the main deck. Ty held an iron sword ready to strike, and Jason held his ray gun ready to shoot.

     Sky face palmed.
