SKY ARMY BEGINS Book 1 Ch. 11

     Dawn just didn't get it. She had gone back to the base to get help, and she was only gone for ten minutes, tops. But when she got back up to the surface with the others, there was no trace of Sky or Ethan anywhere.

     Jason and Ty seemed the most upset. They were Sky's closest friends and they were worried about him. Dawn couldn't blame them. She was just as worried about Ethan, her closest friend and brother figure, as they were about Sky.

     The evening after the incident, the remaining fighters in the base all sat around the table in plates if food in front of them, but none of them really ate much.

     After several minutes, Dawn finally broke the silence. "How could they have just disappeared like that?" She asked.

     "I don't know." Husky said. "But what do we do?"

     "Find them." Jason said.

     Ty sighed and leaned back in his chair. "But where do we start?" He asked.

     Everyone thought for a moment. Then Kermit spoke up. "Dawn, what exactly happened before you came down to get us?" 

     "Well, Sky and I found Ethan just sitting there  watching the sun set or something. We tried to get him to come in, but he just refused." Dawn said.

     "Strange." Husky said. "Ethan doesn't normally do that."

     "Yeah, we here's the best part. Then one of the retarded squids shot at Ethan."

     "What?!" Jason, Ty, Husky, and Kermit all shouted in chorus.

     "What do you mean he was shot?" Husky asked. 

     "Is he even alive?" Jason asked. 

     "He's fine." Dawn said.

     "But you said-"

     "Sky pushed him out of the way..." Dawn interrupted Ty. His eyes widened.

     Jason sighed and leaned back in his chair, frustrated. "I can't believe him..." He muttered.

     "When I got back both Sky and Ethan vanished." Dawn said. "No trace."

     "Where could they have gone?" Husky asked.

      "I put my money on squids." Jason said.

      "On a squid ship?" Ty asked.

      "That seems most likely." Dawn said. 

      "We gotta go after them." Ty said.

      "Out into the ocean?" Husky said.

     "You got it." Ty answered.

    "I'll go after it." Jason said. 

     "You can't go alone." Ty replied.

     "Last time I checked, I was the only one who could fly." Jason said.

     Ty nodded. "This is true." He said. I might not have a jet pack liked you, but I do have you."

     "Ethan! Welcome back!" Seth said as he climbed up the stairs to the helm.

     "He's been here before?" Sky asked.

     Jordan nodded. "He used to be part of the crew."

      "What is it, Captain?" Seth asked.

     "Sky, you tell him." Jordan replied.

     "Well, Seth, Ethan and I need your help to build a uh... Redstone contraption." Sky said.

       Seth leaned on the rail of the ship. "How big?" He asked. Sky and Ethan exchanges glances.
