Sky Army Returns - Book Three - Chapter Two

Jason walked alone down the corridor of Dawn’s cave. Ty, Dawn, and Grail had left to rescue Ant several days ago. He’d been left in charge. But so far, there didn’t seem to be any reason to. Everything was peaceful back at the cave.
But his opinions soon changed.
He walked into the study, not really sure where else to go. He stood by the wall near the desk and leaned up against it. Although Dawn’s cave was good shelter, there really wasn’t much to do. And with Ty gone, it was less than interesting to train or practice.
Suddenly, the door swung open and Ian came stumbling in. Jason raised an eyebrow. “Having fun there?” He asked.
Ian shook his head vigorously, keeping it down.
Jason smirked. “I don’t care, you know.” HE said. “Just if your found alcohol somewhere just tell me where it is ‘cause I’m bored out of my mind.”
Suddenly, Ian’s head snapped up. Something was wrong with his crooked smile – the insane glint in his eyes behind his sunglasses. Jason’s eyes widened and he took a step back. “Okay… Ian maybe you should go get some rest…”
“Why?” Ian asked, his voice exactly like the one he used whenever he went derpy. “I’m not tired.”
He took a step forward and Jason pressed himself up against the wall. “Uh… It’s just… It’s late and…” He glanced at the open door, then back to the ever-approaching Ian. “Gotta go!”
He sprinted out the door and down the hall, but to his dismay, he heard Ian running after him. He turned a corner sharply and ran into the mess hall, slamming the door behind him.
Mitch looked up as he entered breathing heavily. He raised an eyebrow. “Jason?” He asked. “Everything okay?”
“Oh, yeah, yeah.” Jason jumped as he heard Ian slam up against the door. “Except I’m pretty sure Ian is trying to KILL ME.”
Mitch’s eyes widened. “He’s still doing the thing?!”
Suddenly the door burst open and Jason rolled to the side. Mitch yelped and ran out of the way as Ian ran head-on into a table. He groaned and fell to the ground. He shook his head as he got back up. He blinked several times, then looked around. “Weird…” He said to himself, then he left the mess hall without another word.
Jason stood and walked slowly over to Mitch as the two watched SSundee leave the hall in confusion. “Okay…” Mitch said. “I think we should talk to Seto…”
