Bonks left the Infirmary not long after Sky did. She walked along the corridors of the base by herself, ignoring the stares from recruits that passed by her. She got those all the time anyway as her old self. She’d grown used to it by then.

From somewhere nearby, she could hear familiar shouts.

          “Where’s Bonks?!”

          “DeceptiBonk! Have you seen her?”

“She looks like a dragon-lizard creature! She always has a pencil behind her ear!”

          “Bonks!”

          “BOOONKSS!”

Bonks stopped in her tracks as two familiar faces ran around the corner. They both beamed as they saw Bonks.

“BONKS!” The lion and the monkey shouted in unison. They ran up to meet her.

Bonks looked at them in surprise. “Guys, what are you doing here?” She asked. “I thought you were visiting SlammerJammer in Cyrene.”

“We heard you were turned human.” James replied. “We wanna help you get turned back.”

“Well how are you planning me getting turned back?” Bonks asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

“Well, we hadn’t really thought of that yet.” Weed replied. “But we were hoping Seto would know.”

Bonks shook her head. “You won’t get anywhere with Seto.” She said. “But you can ask Griffin. He might know.”

The two nodded. “Thanks, Bonks!” James said. Both turned and ran off back the way they’d come. Bonks rolled her eyes.

“Wrong way.” She said. For a moment, there was no movement. Then the two ran back around the corner of the wall and ran past her.

“Thanks Bonks!” James said again. Bonks rolled her eyes and ran after the two.

No point in letting the two make idiots of themselves like they did the last time they entered the library.

    .         .         .

Skylar peered through the crack in the door, into the Arboretum. She saw the same woman she’d been looking for knelt near the back of the room, watering some flowers.

She took a deep breath and pushed into the room. Time to try out her acting skills. “Um… Dawnables?” She asked.

Dawn looked behind her and raised an eyebrow at Skylar. “Yes?” She asked.

    “Uhm… My name’s Skylar… I’m Commander Sky’s sister.”

Dawn stood up and crossed her arms. “Is that so?” She asked.

“Yeah.” Skylar replied. “I ran away from home when I was little and-”

    “Adam, you’re a bad actor.”

Skylar looked up at Dawn in surprise. “Huh?” She asked.

“You can’t fool me, you idiot, I know you too well.” Dawn replied. “Now how did this happen.”

    Skylar sighed. “Griffin…” She muttered.

Dawn laughed. “Seto’s apprentice?” She asked. “I thought he was just going to teleport you, Bonks, and Ethan to the other end of the base.”

Skylar’s eyes widened. “Oh my god, Ethan!”

Dawn’s eyes narrowed in suspicion. “Adam…?” She asked.

“I can’t believe we forgot about Ethan! Oh my god!” Skylar ran back out of the Arboretum.

Dawn watched her go, then shrugged and went back to watering her flowers. “It’s just the hydrangeas’ scent getting to me again…” She said to herself.
